I never think of jewelry in terms of finding the right outfit I like, and then proceeding to pick out “jewelry to match.” I usually do it the other way around, or mostly choose to not care whatsoever about what I’m wearing–just as long as I got on some nice jewelry. I finally came across my first exception to this habit with this black cultured pearl necklace. I have been wanting pearls for awhile; the last time I received some was high school graduation, a 16 inch strand of Honora white pearls. Black cultured pearls would be different, and better yet, having them 80 inches long! Ross-Simons has an amazing deal right now on this 80 inch strand of black cultured pearls–only $95 from now until January 15. It seemed too good to be true, until I realized that I just couldn’t wear anything with an 80 inch strand of black pearls. I actually needed to really think about a shirt that would flatter the necklace, and I found the perfect look. This black wrap top from Victoria’s Secret. The deep V neckline and dressy look to the top would go well with three strands of pearls.
