Thanks for joining my webinar on Photographing Jewelry with your iPhone organized by @thejewelerscircle with @jencwilliams moderating/interviewing 🎤
Wanted to touch upon a couple points here & if you’d like to watch the full webinar, you can if you’re a @thejewelerscircle member.
1 - LIGHTING ☀️ is key
2 - Important gear like a tripod, studio lighting, microfiber cloth (for both lens & jewelry), backgrounds (like tiles, materials, clothing), & props are vital.
3 - create a shot list, which will help guide you on your days you dedicate to shooting content. Examples of this can be found in many of the hashtags I’ve created over the years: #showmeyourrings #gemgossipcharms #gemgossipjewelbox #gemgossipneckparty
4 - Dragging the little sunshine symbol to brighten or darken your photo can change the look dramatically. Play around with it! I suggest darkening (dragging down) when photographing opals and dark surfaces. Brightening (upward) for most everything else.
5 - Snapseed is a great editing app. I use it to erase lint, stray hairs, and general cleanup on a photo. I’ll show a great example in my Stories.
I’ll be sure to create a blog post for GemGossip.com as well! ...
