Jewelry Tip: Make your jewelry versatile

DSCF1432

One very important aspect about collecting fine jewelry is that, unless you are a millionaire, it can get pricey! To counter that annoying factor, the few pieces that you do buy have to be versatile.  I am wearing a couple of pieces of jewelry that can be worn in different ways.  Here’s how:

  • an 80″ strand of black cultured pearls can be worn as a chunky bracelet, a double strand necklace, a triple strand necklace, or quadruple strand necklace

  • a Victorian brooch can be worn pinned to a jacket, pinned to a shoe, pinned to a scarf, or like I have done here pinned at the very top of my shirt to give the effect of a pendant without a chain

  • all rings can be worn in different combinations, whether alone or stacked together, here I am wearing a 14k yellow gold curb-link band with a 14k yellow gold champagne diamond solitaire ring
