Last Sunday I was involved in Nashville Public Television’s Appraisal Day! I was the designated jewelry appraiser for the event where anyone could come and bring some of their treasured items to receive verbal appraisals for a small fee. The outcome of the event was awesome–over 100 people showed up–with arms full of paintings, sculptures, interesting antiques and some heirloom jewelry. Over $15,000 was raised for NPT and I was happy to be involved and donate my time and budding expertise! It was my first “appraisal fair” and I had a lot of fun talking to people about their pretty jewels. Above are some highlights from the day–the one photo of all the bracelets was a lady who has been collecting unique bracelets for awhile. She had me appraise the cool snake bracelet for her.
