My Jewel Box: Edwardian Sailing Flag Ring

DSCF2101DSCF2104

Love this antique ring which just arrived in my mailbox from Gem Gossip’s newest advertiser: Victoria Sterling Antique & Vintage Jewelry. She is one of the best on Ruby Lane, with antique jewelry from all over Europe. Her shop offers lots of antique serpent rings, mourning jewelry (some really nice black enamel mourning bands), Art Deco diamond jewelry, as well as English hallmarked pieces. I love this little nautical themed Edwardian ring–set with diamonds and a sapphire in platinum with an 18k yellow gold shank. Anyone who knows sailing flags, do you know what this particular flag means?
