Tip 9 — Sell your unwanted pieces
Do you still have that pile you made from day 1? That’s great. Now let’s figure out how to sell. Here’s my suggestions:
1) ON HERE - instagram is a great place to sell. Afraid that you don’t have enough followers or experience selling? Simply tell people you’re not an expert. Allow for returns. You don’t have to be intimidated. But if you’d rather leave it up to someone with selling & jewelry experience you could choose these other options.
2) AUCTIONS - consigning an item is super easy (I’ve done it about ten times). You can choose an auction house from my list of favorites that I posted a few days ago. Auction houses take a commission from your sale, however they draw lots of bidders and your item could sell for more than you thought.
3) OTHER DEALERS - there are some antique jewelry sellers that are always looking to buy from people, so be ready to send photos and they may make you an offer. If you’re one of these, please let me know so I can suggest you to those who are looking to sell items!
4) OTHER WEBSITES - like @eBay @therealreal @ebth are great places to sell, just know you won’t be getting the full price it sells for.
Feel free to ask any questions on this step. More in Stories later today. If you’re posting some of your fine jewelry items on HERE you can use hashtag #newyearnewjewelrybox & I’ll repost some in my Story.
Ok, lastly. Here’s one of my items from my jewelry box clean out. All cleaned, measured and appraised — ready for its new home. 😬 ...
