My favorite part of traveling is exploring–which involves antiquing and treasure hunting. Southern California has a lot to offer. A favorite spot of mine is the antique district in Carlsbad and Ocean Beach. At Empire Enterprises in Ocean Beach there is a wooden treasure chest (pictured above) that is filled with gold rings. Anyone can sift through the treasure chest in search for their very own treasure. With so many treasures every inch of the jewelry case, I couldn’t help but leave with three rings. If you are ever in the southern California area, I highly recommend stopping by and looking through the treasure chest!
My new rings:
18k yellow gold diamond circular buckle ring
14k yellow gold double lion head ring with ruby eyes
14k bloomed yellow gold garnet and seed pearl navette ring
Empire Enterprises Antiques

>> Also picked up this ring on my antiquing quest in Southern California and am offering it to my readers. It is an Amethyst ring from the late 1800s, with a 14k yellow gold shank and silver setting. Price: $250

OMG so jealous. There's a place in NY that does a similiar thing–a little treasure chest one can paw through–but I've never found goodies like that navette ring!
