With all the focus on buying my first home, buying jewelry is smartly on the backburner. But a jewelry lover will always be a jewelry lover, and somehow manage to acquire some new pieces of jewelry! The first ring is one I’ve been wanting for quite sometime–the Anubis ring designed by Arosha Taglia. It is 14k yellow gold and set with a white zircon gemstone. It went on sale right after the holidays and I couldn’t pass up the discounted price. The second ring holds a title amongst my collection–it is the oldest piece of jewelry I own. It is two hands clasping each other in 18k yellow gold. I believe it is circa 1850. The pearl stud earrings were purchased to comemorate the Pearl Grading Lab class I completed in Atlanta through SJTA for GIA. After learning as much as possible about grading pearls for seven hours, I had to pick up a pair of the prettiest hue I saw at the Atlanta jewelry show.

Anubis ring seems to be very stylish and zircon looks good mounted in the gold. But others good too. )

The anubis ring has some great design ideas. Even better with a premium precious stone setting.

I love the Anubis ring — does it go well with the pearl earrings?

Gold doesn't always have to be the centerpiece of a piece of jewelry to make an impression. In fact, it doesn't even have to be the color of traditional gold, as exemplified in this gorgeous South Sea Cultured Pearl and Diamond Necklace with white gold.
