Who else is caught in this heat wave?! We haven’t dropped below 90 degrees since Memorial Day and it sure has been putting a damper on so many things–including my jewelry choices. Rings and bracelets feel too hot to wear and wearing nothing but a necklace doesn’t seem too special.  Layering simple necklaces in a unique way is perfect for hot summer days without overdoing it.  The above inspiration photo is exactly what I am thinking–a very short, simple gold chain necklace, a slightly longer 18-20″ necklace with a spherical detail, and finally a very long chain with a long, sweeping pendant.  Here are three choice pieces that will give you this look:
