Q & A with Rhonda & Tiffany of Borgioni Jewels

Borgioni Jewels consists of a mother-daughter-duo; a huge reason why I loved this jewelry line from the get-go! When I met the pair at Couture this year, they had their collection ready for me to play with! I was taken by how incredibly on-trend, yet classic their designs are and loved the variety of the collection. A favorite photo of mine from my Couture trip involved their snake rings–they’ve designed a snake ring that horizontally slithers across three fingers, and another that articulates vertically down one finger.  I took both rings and stacked them perpendicular and created an epic jewelry look that I absolutely love!  Thier collection is available at Fragments in NYC!

I had to learn more about this amazing duo, so I caught up with the girls… 

Ear cuffs, colored diamond stackable bracelets and necklaces, and of course handcuffs. Always new handcuffs coming down the pipe line.

We began designing our collection inspired by Emily Borgioni’s, (Rhonda’s mother) love for fashion, which she passed down to her daughter, (Rhonda), and ultimately to Tiffany. Finishing up Tiffany’s JD was an ideal time to begin this venture, as we’ve always had a strong desire to design and create. The collection was primarily based upon the re-design of many inherited jewels, making them into wearable everyday fashion staples. With much luck and guidance from above, we grew the line into what it is today. Still keeping the family matriarch in mind with all of our designs. 

Watching Earth, Wind & Fire perform in our jewelry at the Grammy’s was a pretty great moment. Another would be seeing our collection beautifully displayed at Neiman’s.

We hope to continue designing pieces that are unique, but wearable to people all over the world. Our goal is to continue designing sentimental and inspirational pieces, and having our customers enjoy wearing them daily.
