This past weekend I got the opportunity to meet a long-time favorite jewelry designer of mine and check out her latest creations. The stylish boutique called Jamie located in Nashville had a jewelry trunk show featuring Laurie Kaiser’s jewelry designs. We got to chat about her obsession with moonstones, gaze at the luscious labradorite stones in her jewels, and congratulate her on having Taylor Swift wear her earrings and bracelet at an event. Many of Laurie’s pieces feature outstanding gemstones–like Australian boulder opals, moonstones, carnelian, drusy quartz, and labradorite. I especially liked the necklace with a bright orangey-red carnelian surrounded by moonstones. Such an interesting color combination! The labradorite ring also blew me away–I tried it on in the photo below. Laurie has been designing jewelry for eight years and really enjoys it. The stones in this jewelry have a really beautiful quality, clear but not quite clear. I really like it.
