This Jewels at my Doorstep can also be called “Jewels in my Suitcase” because these gorgeous Phioro jewels flew in from Dubai and were immediately packed into my luggage, bound for Los Angeles. Not only did I get the chance to borrow these beauties for the LoveGold event at the Selma House, honoring Lupita Nyong”o, but I also had some personal photography time with them. These pieces are extremely photogenic and statement-making!
The richness of the orangey-yellow hue of the citrine stones was so fiery, it would compliment any neutral. I chose to wear a white vest with black detailing, with sheer black cutouts. The vest was tucked into a pair of wide-leg black pants, perfectly pressed and tailored. The Venus necklace and earrings instantly glamorized my menswear look. The Venus collection was inspired by the Roman Goddess of Love & Beauty. The prongs were stylized to imitate claws, giving the jewelry a “grasping for power” feel. Their signature Phi ring in 18k yellow gold was the perfect delicate ring to place on my finger.
