The 2010 Emmy Awards were on last night and I had my eye on the jewelry as the stars did their promenade down the red carpet. It was a nice surprise to see so many stars give shout outs to who designed their jewelry, as in years past, this detail was hardly ever mentioned.
THE GOOD: Cartier jewels on Dianna Agron, bright multi-colored stacks of jeweled bracelets as seen on Kyra Sedgwick, bold and unusual rings, antique bracelets, huge rubies, 1940s Fred Leighton on Mariska Hargitay, January Jones’ platinum dragon ring by Cartier
THE BAD: too many matchy-matchy sets of jewelry, teeny tiny diamond earrings, diamond jewelry from Everlon, bare necks, black diamonds

Above is my favorite look of the night–Jayma Mays in Neil Lane Jewelry, a gold and diamond bib necklace, three diamond and gold bracelets, a diamond and gold bangle and cocktail ring.
Below are some snapshots of my other favorite jewelry looks of the night: Kyra Sedgwick and her multi-colored bracelets from Ofira, Anna Paquin’s stack of unique bracelets from House of Lavande, Heidi Klum’s killer ring from Lorraine Schwartz, and Dianna Agron’s Cartier bracelets.

I love the way you've 'curated' the red carpet picks! it's refreshing to see some up-close shots of the baubles and gems.

Yes, the bare necks! At every award show! Who decided this?!
Been going on for years, drives me crazy. Glad you noticed it too.
Love Lorraine Schwartz, I almost faint every time I see her collection at Bergdorf here in NYC.
