Today’s featured jewelry collector is Kaisa of Charm Nerd. Like her Instagram handle suggests, she’s charm obsessed and has a really cool charm collection, along with some other amazing pieces of fine jewelry. Let’s hear more about her collection and how it came to be:

“I have been hard core collecting for 3.5-4 years, but I have a handful of pieces from when I was little as well. I’ve always loved jewelry! There are so many things that make jewelry my passion – I love the uniqueness and individuality in antique and vintage pieces, the fact that any piece can be sentimental, the fun of hunting… I could go on and on! Most of all I love that there will always be something new, even if it’s just new to me.”

“Outside of my sentimental pieces, I have a few vintage and antique pieces with date engravings which I always find fascinating and makes them unique… my favorite is a French love token with the date 12.31.1949 on the back. My favorite place to hunt for jewels is Instagram, Etsy, Ruby Lane, eBay, and even Offer-Up, EBTH, Facebook marketplace”

“My jewelry storage is a mix of OCD and chaos energy. I have a catch all dish on my nightstand where my chains and strands, bracelets, miscellaneous earrings, and COTD (charms of the day) stay and I also have cases with individual bubble containers for my charms because ~balance~. Some of my favorite motifs to collect – I love hearts, flowers (pansies & forget-me-knots), keys, lucky beans, Italian horns, crescents, and stars”

“One of my favorite most recent finds is a charm of an indigenous figure with an emerald embedded in the body. The original receipt from the store in Columbia where it was originally purchased was included, and the original purchaser’s name is hand written on the receipt, which is just so swoon-worthy. It’s always an extra bonus to have some history on the pieces you buy.”
