The last stop on my New York City #JewelryRoadTrip was to Marisa Perry Atelier to get some serious diamond time and learn about all that this fine diamond boutique has to offer! I know engagement ring shopping is a strong business and can often be intimidating, but the philosophy at Marisa Perry is far from that. I knew it from the moment I personally walked through their doors that fun was going to be had along with some major sparkle!

Marisa Perry first began in 2002 after Marisa met her now husband, Douglas Elliott. The power couple opened their store in Soho, where Douglas continued to hone his craft of designing and creating diamond jewelry that people hoped and wished for. The boutique quickly became a favorite for engagement rings, wedding bands and other custom creations. Then in 2015, the store relocated to a corner lot in West Village, where it stands today. It is an inviting space, where you always want to stop in to see the newest pieces fresh off the jeweler’s bench. I love how elegant the interior is and how laid back and comfortable you feel when looking at jewelry. At one point, it was almost too comfortable because I didn’t even realize I was wearing several million dollars on one hand!

One of my favorite aspects about the store is the one-on-one attention their clients receive. On top of that, the amount of ring styles, diamond cuts, diamond sizes and options that are available, in stock and ready to go, is really amazing. Whether you’re searching for something small with a tight budget or as big as you can imagine, they have it all. Right now, three-stones are very popular and Marisa Perry offers lots of different configurations of this classic style, from stone shape and size to halo and no-halo. If you love traditional and crave a solitaire, there are so many more options than I thought were possible for a simple style. They know how to craft the ring in order for it to fit with any type of band, which is an aspect newly engaged brides might not know about until they are faced with looking for bands after the fact. Same goes with micro-pave. If you love sparkle and want it incorporated into every square inch of your ring, they can do it! And Marisa Perry has pioneered micro-pave, so perfecting it over the years has been something they are really proud of.

Aside from being one of the best shops to find an engagement ring, Marisa Perry also offers some gorgeous bracelets, necklaces, earrings and right-hand rings. If you’re looking for a stunning necklace stack, I feel like the one I created while visiting totally hit it out of the park! The diamond choker is a piece Marisa is really psyched about because it is completely adjustable and can be worn at different lengths. I also didn’t realize how essential a diamond tennis bracelet was to a wrist stack until browsing all the unique options at Marisa Perry. It should really be something on your wish list! With all the styles out there, I recommend trying them all on to see which speaks to you most. I obviously had so much fun trying all the ones at Marisa Perry — I would have to say my favorite was the straight line bracelet with round cut diamonds.

Thanks so much Marisa for having me at your beautiful store and I’m so glad to finally meet you! If you are ever in NYC or live in NYC, I urge you to stop by, say hello, and try on some gorgeous diamonds. It will make you start to want an “upgrade”…I know I surely did!
