As with any motif, there are lots of different takes on a single idea or theme. The panther has been adorning fingers, necks and wrists for hundreds of years. New designers and old designers are creating all sorts of jewels using the panther, and I am slightly obsessed with all of them. Designers like Anita Ko and Jack Vartarian have new designs that are absolutely stunning. Vartarian’s panther hugs the entire finger with its whole body.
There are also many vintage takes on the panther–I have one that features black enamel spots. Another great vintage panther ring came from Walton’s where I work–someone from the ABC news family actually purchased it, so it has a great home. The last photo is a knuckle ring that I designed made from a bangle bracelet. If you would like to know more about that particular piece, read more here. Panther power!

I don't have any panther pieces but I have appreciated those who like the panther styles or reptile/lady bug/bumble bee/zebra/giraffe/leopard styles. (I am more into elephant styles, stars, crosses, floral shaped pieces.)
I do like the panther-link in watch styles but the only panther-head jewelry I have wanted for myself was a tigers-eye faceted bead necklace that had the 2 panther-head closure adjoined by an open circle-link closure (panther on each side of the circle). You could hang an enhancer on the circle if you wanted or wear it "as is". You could turn the panthers/clasp to the side of the neckline instead of wearing in the center of the neck for a different look. There was a matching bracelet as well. That piece was really stunning especially the gold panther heads echoed by the golden colors running through the faceted tigers-eye beads. Excellent play of color, light reflection, and sparkle.

Nothing says glamour like a fine gold panther ring! Love the one on the second picture.
