My TOP 5 Finds from going to estate sales over the last almost 18 years!
Disclaimer - I have only been to a handful and I’m making it my goal to go to more! And sorry this is not jewelry related 😅
BUT I will say, the most asked question I get when I setup at trunk shows is “do you get most of your stuff from estate sales?!” and the answer is no! In fact, I haven’t bought a single piece of fine jewelry from an estate sale.
Most estate sale companies sell any fine jewelry privately, using their contacts of gemologists or jewelry stores they’ve been working with and built long-standing relationships with. Usually things are purchased on an “all or nothing” basis, and given a “lot price” which isn’t how I like to buy things. I like to pick and choose based on a certain criteria and aesthetic.
So when I go to estate sales, I’m typically only looking for little trinkets for my house 🤗
