Endless talk of all things sparkly.

JCK Luxury Correspondent Laura Tedesco

This year’s festivities in Vegas were a no-go–and instead of wishing I could have gone, I took some action and elected Laura Tedesco of Laura Tedesco Jewellery Design to be my jewel-spotting correspondent. She filled my inbox with cool photos and did an awesome job finding the prettiest jewelry at the JCK Luxury show. So here are her top five picks for JCK 2012. Take it away, Laura!

#5 a pendant from “Atelier Minyon“. Based in New York and Turkey. He is a talented designer who makes super unique and beautifully hand-crafted jewelry. All of his pieces are AMAZING, but I seemed to be drawn to the angelic, religious figure within this beautiful pendant. Might be one of the least “wild” of his creations, but a work of wearable art none-the-less.

#4 As a newly engaged woman, I totally fell in love with these earrings from “Christian Tse.” I could imagine myself wearing them on my wedding day. The photo does not do them justice. The diamond briolettes in the centre have movement and look like they are a cascading waterfall. They are set in a super fine platinum wire to give that effect. They truly have to be seen in person. I couldn’t stop staring at them. Simply stunning! Diamond, 18k & platinum.

#3 these pieces are from “Fern Freeman“. Love the hint of 22k gold & black rhodium with the labradorite beads, diamonds and moonstones. I could see myself wearing these pieces often. Wearing long or layered, dressed up or dressed down, and mixed with other metals. These beautiful necklaces can go a long way.

#2 I walked past the booth of “Design by Getana” and loved all of their coloured gemstone jewellery. They are manufacturers of handmade jewelry, based in Long Island, NY. These were my favourite earrings from them. The large teardrop gemstone are grey chalcedony and set in pink gold with diamonds. I love the mix-matched semi precious gemstone accents.-It gives them character!

#1 Here are some pieces from Vancox, an amazing jewellery line from Brazil. I really loved all of their pieces. Very modern, glamorous and feminine with a touch of edge. Since I couldn’t decide on my favourite pieces, here are a couple in pink gold and diamonds.

Earrings are 18k with 4.22ct total weight of diamonds.

Ring with grey diamonds 18k, 1.98ct. tw
