The jewelry industry has some amazing and talented people. The GEM Awards was created to acknowledge and reward the select few who excel in this field of fine jewelry and watches. It is an exciting night for jewelry insiders to dress up, wine and dine, meet and greet, and applaud and praise. This year was extra special because it was the first year winners were announced live! There were four awards given out: Gem Award for Lifetime Achievement (Marie Helene Morrow), Gem Award for Communications (Tiffany & Co.), Gem Award for Design (Kara Ross), and Gem Award for Media Excellence (Victoria Gomelsky).
I had an incredible time with the LoveGold team! I got to meet some amazing designers and people I’ve worked with (in person rather than over email !!), had some fun posing in the LoveGold photo booth, and enjoyed the cocktail hour sponsored by LoveGold. One of the highlights for myself was getting to see all the beautiful jewelry everyone was wearing! I made sure to snap some pictures of my favorites.
Details of above photos:
snapshots I took of the event location, NYC’s Cipriani on 42nd St. with towering ceilings and marble columns provided the perfect backdrop for this magical event

Jennifer Gandia of Greenwich Jewelers wearing Arik Kastan & Beth Bernstein (nominated for Media Excellence) wearing all antique jewels and Elizabeth of The EAB Project wearing Natalie Frigo and Spessartite garnet by Victor Velyan

Looks like you had an amazing time and met so many talented designers! Most of them my favorite as well, especially Pamela Love. Love all the pictures! Will you be attending the Couture and JCK (design center) shows in May/June?
Thanks for sharing
