Conclave 2018 — Here’s Your Guide to Nashville

There’s a lot of people that are pretty pumped to have Conclave 2018 happening in Music City, as Nashville has quickly grown since I moved here almost ten years ago and has deemed itself one of the best cities to visit for a weekend. I’ve had so many people ask me about recommendations over the years and if you are one of those people who has asked, you know I always come through with A TON of favorite spots–from restaurants, to hotels, fun things to do and everything in between! With Conclave being a few days away (and an inbox full of the same questions) I thought I would put together an “ultimate” recommendation list for all of you. So here goes:

Where to Stay:

I’m not going to go too deep into this, as I know most of you will probably be staying at the Omni Hotel in Nashville, where the conference is taking place! However, if you happen to need recommendations of elsewhere to stay, I highly recommend the Thompson Hotel–it is somewhere I want to stay even though I live 15 minutes away. Urban Cowboy is also a good one, if you want the whole Nashville vibe, all day in every way.

Where to Eat:

Seriously, Nashville has become a food capital and the amount of new restaurants popping up has us spinning around in circles–we can’t keep up! With that being said, most likely wherever you choose to eat will be amazing, as most places I haven’t even tried myself. Everything I am recommending are spots I’ve been to (sometimes multiple times) and absolutely love:

1 — Adele’s

2 — Josephines in 12 South

3 — Avo or The Wild Cow if you’re vegan or want something healthy

4 — Bastion if you plan WAY ahead and score a rare reservation (note: expensive but worth it)

5 — Cocos Italian if you can make it out to North Nashville and want some amazing Italian food (order the bruschetta)

6 — Little Octopus for tapas style food with an Instagram-worthy venue

7 — Giovanni is where I had my wedding reception dinner held at, so it will always be special to me

8 — Rolf & Daughters, I’m drooling just typing that

9 — Martin’s BBQ or Hattie B’s for something authentically Nashville

10 — Merchants on Broadway

Things to Do:

1 — Pinewood Social where you can drink and go bowling in a really cool atmosphere

2 — Frist Museum which actually has an incredible art installation right now that I’m dying to see

3 — favorite vintage shopping is Gaslamp Antiques for knick knacks/trinkets and Star Struck Vintage for clothes

4 — my ideal morning trip is stopping by Cosmic Connections for crystals, eating at Proper Bagel, and walking around Belmont University (gorgeous campus)

5 — Five Daughters Bakery

6 — 12 South for boutique hopping

7 —  lots of music venues like the Ryman, 3rd & Lindsley, Bluebird Cafe

8 — obviously recommend bar hopping to all the honky tonks like Tootsies, Roberts, Wildhorse, Acme

9 — visit the Parthenon and take a cool ring selfie photo, walk around the park, go inside too

10 — Top Golf if you have a group of people, it’s like bowling but with golf and way cooler
