Started the Colored Stones portion of my GIA studies. Excited to learn about rubies, sapphires, emeralds and the multitude of others. Think it is incredible that these gems have been coveted for thousands of years. Especially so by the Indian Maharajas.

Love this post – it is always cool to see the piece today and then the paintings to show it's history!!! SWEET!
Are you doing GIA on campus or distance? I need to start my Colored Stones…jealous!

Hey Robyn!
Thanks! I am doing everything through distance since I work at an antique jewelry store where I look at hundreds of pieces of jewelry a week! Although I would give anything to be on the ocean in Cali at the GIA campus…I love it there. How far along are you?
