I really enjoyed this informational video called Secret History of Diamonds, as seen on Hulu. It follows three different stories of people who found themselves becoming risk-takers for the love of diamonds. Some even risking their lives, receiving dozens of convictions, even serving jail-time. It is unbelievably perplexing to look at your diamondl that sits so beautifully on your finger, and try to think about where it came from. Its journey from deep beneath the Earth billions of years ago, to being in your jewelry box is so complex, every step in between depends on what came before. This video highlights one of the biggest diamond thefts, and believe it or not, many of the diamonds were “lost in translation” and could possibly be on your finger right now!
