LoveGold hosted an afternoon of tea, champagne and some sort of alcoholic root beer concoction that was yummy, in celebration of Pamela Love‘s launch of her Fine Jewelry collection. The event took place at the Selma House outside of West Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont. A cozy and hip little hideaway, perfect for a jewelry launch with a guest list full of the best writers, magazine editors, stylists, and coolest celebs.
I loved seeing the jewels set up, nestled in plants–the greenery contrasted well with the sheen of the yellow gold. At one point, I remember saying “I wish trees really grew Pamela Love jewels!”
Golden desserts and pastries filled the tabletops, where the pretty designer sat poised with editors answering questions about her labor of love. Pamela and I enjoyed getting our nails gold-leafed by a nail artist, a highlight of the event! We could choose between gold tips or gold flecks, which equally made our day.
One of her most popular necklace designs, the Tribal Spike necklace, is reincarnated this time in yellow gold with diamonds (fans of her jewelry are used to seeing this design in silver). Her five-point Spike earrings are on every It-girl’s wish list–and after seeing them in person, I can’t decide which I like better–the black diamonds or white diamonds! Both are so good. The Luna ring makes an appearance in 18k yellow gold, with different combinations of fine gems. I love the diamond and opal combo–really makes the ring look like a fortune-telling treasure. Her signature arrowhead pendants have been brought to another level in the luxury category, featuring diamonds set in gold outlining the perimeter.
Above is a fun Photo Booth shot of myself with Pamela Love and our friends. The other photo shows my gold-fleck manicure that I got at the event, along with the rings that I wore that day: a 22k yellow gold custom Lapis ring and an antique brooch conversion ring.

The visual impression for glamorous jewellery is what makes it sparkle. This collection offers that and would dazzle people if worn at any party.
