When I acquire pieces to sell, I never know who will become the new recipients of these treasures until all the stars align, the fates have their way and the destinies have been written. Some pieces have an undeniable attraction and “meant to be mine” feeling, and after buying/selling for as long as I have, you learn to discern this magic.
When a pair of butterflies came across my desk, I instantly began to message a small list of collectors I know who are obsessed with butterflies - but something made me delete before sending. The more I sat with this brooch and admired it under my microscope, the further it found itself in my personal jewelry box.
As for the matching pendant, it now belongs to a special little girl who inherited it from her nana gone too soon. We miss you nana ♥️
