My Jewel Box: Christmas Rings 2012

xmasring2 xmasring1

Wanted to quickly share two rings that I got for Christmas this year from my boyfriend Matt. The first ring is 14k yellow gold garnet snowflake ring that came from Walton's Antique Jewelry. This one I received Christmas morning, as we celebrated together with our dog Chiefy. The second ring came a few days after Christmas, as a belated gift--a total surprise. It is an antique reproduction in 10k yellow gold set with pink tourmaline and diamonds. Hope everyone had a lovely holiday! What rings or jewels did you get this past Christmas?

Instagram has been a fun way to document daily happenings. Not only is it useful to look back on and remember things, but it is also neat to see other people's photos, especially those in the jewelry industry. I know not everyone has an Instagram account, so I've decided to post some of my favorite photos on here every once in awhile:

Robin Haley Jewelry Design

One of the neat things about working with diamonds is that you can lend a designer a diamond and they will create a masterpiece for you! That's exactly what Robin Haley did for us at Walton's Antique Jewelry. Robin is a Nashville based designer and stops by our shop every now and then.  Always fun to catch up with her, but even more fun to have her design something.  She took our 0.95 carat Old Mine cut diamond and designed this stunning piece in platinum with some old cut side stones.  This ring is gorgeous and is currently being offered for $6500.  If you want this exact mounting for your diamond, contact me for details!  Thanks Robin!

Focusing on work these past few months have helped me source my energy into a few creative shots with new rings. At Walton's Antique Jewelry, we get in at least 20-30 new rings for our inventory every week--it is my job to clean them up, price them, and inventory them, before setting each out into the glorious display cases. Of course some of the prettiest don't leave my sight until they are cleverly photographed. Each ring tells a story, which is what I hope to portray in each photograph. Hope you like what I've done! If you are interested in any of these, email me and I will let you know details, prices, availability!

Updates From Walton's Antique Jewelry Holiday 2011

Over at Walton's Antique Jewelry, we have been busy preparing for the holiday season. We have set up an eBay store for those who love our store, but don't have the luxury of living nearby. Lately I've been sorting and grading lots and LOTS of diamonds. I've done about 300+ carats so far. This week I have an incredibly heavy appraisal load, with some amazing jewels in the bunch. I will tweet a picture from work tomorrow!
