Arik Kastan and their team have been busy debuting some new designs and collections while out in Vegas for Couture. Buyers, press, journalists all hovered over their booth to get a glimpse of the new styles and fun gemstone combinations that still have people talking. As usual, Arik Kastan's booth was one that couldn't be missed when attending this year's tradeshow.

If you missed out attending Vegas, we've got you covered in this installment--which is shown here on Gem Gossip, as well as all of Arik Kastan's Newsletter subscribers. Be sure to sign up if you haven't below!

A padlock on a thin chain is all you need for a night out in Vegas! This one has us telling our friends it is perfect in every way. Classic and cool for a modern woman who still likes a nod from the past.

Oval cluster padlock in emerald + diamonds, Price: $2,360

We weren't ready for how much of an impact we would bring to Couture with our green agate pieces!  Comments like, "what stone is this, it is amazing?!" and "this green color is glowing!!" have really made us proud. This ring is one of our favorites.

Five-Stone Art Deco ring in green agate + sapphire, Price: $1,280

Since we are on a green/blue kick, we've changed things up by using emeralds and turquoise. This earring style and gemstone combo are totally chic, and we could picture these on a summer getaway on a plane near you!

Deco Rhombus Drop Earrings in turquoise + emerald, Price: $1,830

Arik Kastan | Gem Gossip

To go along with the above earrings, we've created this ring which is sweet as can be! It is stack-ready and as we've said before, awaiting summer. Try wearing this one on your pinky if you're wanting to do something more unique. Your friends will catch on.

Deco Lilac ring in turquoise + emerald, Price: $1,170

Arik Kastan | Gem Gossip

Feeling the summer heat over here in Vegas, which is why we're opting to keep our necklace situation simple. We have been wearing the Aster necklace most of the week and it has brought the right amount of sparkle and femininity to our lives. Definitely our kind of Vegas vibes.

Aster Pendant in diamonds, Price: $1,830

Arik Kastan | Gem Gossip

Before we head back to LA from scorching Vegas, we want to point out our Delilah ring because SHE'S CUTE. One of our most-requested rings during our trade show and we can't wait to see these on your fingers!

Delilah ring in emerald + diamonds, Price: $2,200

Arik Kastan | Gem Gossip

We couldn't wait to show off our newest vintage-inspired bow rings which debuted at Couture. And the newest gemstone color combo that had store and editors swooning--green agate and sapphires. Look out for them to hit the website soon! Can't wait? Email info@arikkastan.com

All the April showers have rained down on us all month long and I'm here waiting for the May flowers, which will hopefully be worth the wait!  Spring is one of my most favorite times of the year; a time of rebirth, growth, freshness and strength. What better way than to capture all that in our latest Jewels at my Doorstep shoot because it is so fitting with the designer being featured--Alexis Kletjian.  Her jewelry is created and designed with the intention of being a part of your every day wardrobe, being passed down, and becoming a part of your legacy. The word legacy is very important to Alexis--it is a word she often thinks of when celebrating milestones, both in life and online. Celebration often goes hand-in-hand with giving/receiving jewelry, and it is exactly that idea which Alexis feels her jewelry line lends itself perfectly with. She also celebrates online anytime her social media platforms hit a special milestone and she gives back by drawing names from anyone who has emailed her with their legacy story!  Winner receives $1000 good toward a piece from the Alexis Kletjian collections.

A milestone like a birthday, anniversary or holiday are all ideal moments to share a piece of Alexis Kletjian jewelry--a shield pendant, a hexagon band, or any of her initial charms--there are so many great pieces. I was really excited to see her jewels, as I haven't seen them in awhile. I also got to experience some never-before-seen pieces she has been busy cooking up!  Like the emerald and diamond crossover ring and the opal lotus star pendant with one-of-a-kind boulder opals. Definitely some of my favorite pieces!  We can't forget the Retiarii earrings because those need their own special introduction. Glamorous, sleek and bold--shining bright with diamonds set in the "netting" of the design (a retiarii is an ancient gladiator net used to protect oneself in battle) and dangling with two specially cut chrysoberyls by Top Notch Faceting. These earrings can be customized, as Alexis also makes them in all gold, all diamonds, or all diamonds + moonstone. The bangles were beyond belief, as they came done in 18k gold with three different eternity style gemstone varieties: demantoid garnet, chrome diopside, and tanzanite.  Lastly, we must discuss my obsession with these "crystal ball" looking rings because when I look into them, I can see my future.  They are actually prehnite cabochons and although you might not have ever heard of that stone before, get familiar!  Alexis just put it on the map.

Our shoot was set on a glorious spring morning in Nashville; our location being Belmont University--one of the prettiest schools I've ever been to. They are known for their lavish gardens, with over 14,000 tulips (imported from the Netherlands), and over 100 species of trees and shrubs. Efforts have been put in place to keep the campus classified as a tree sanctuary.  The photos were shot by Lauren Newman Photography and we used as much of the gardens, plants, trees and flowers as possible in all the shots. We hope you enjoy!

Top Five Designer Jewelry Brands You NEED In Your Jewel Box

Couture | Gem Gossip Couture | Gem Gossip Couture | Gem Gossip Couture | Gem Gossip Couture | Gem Gossip

There are so many pieces of jewelry out there! It is almost mind-boggling thinking about the number of options we have as consumers, along with all the push and pull we get from the media..."buy this," "save 50% on this," "check out this season's must-haves."  And with more and more celebrity endorsements and blogger sponsorships, you might not know who to turn to for advice anymore!

Well, I've put together my current list for the Top Five Designer Jewelry Brands which you need in your jewel box--and these are chosen based on my own opinion.  This is not a sponsored blog post nor did I receive any compensation to choose any of these five designers! I simply think what they are doing right now is amazing and by adding any or all of these designers to your jewelry box will no doubt be an investment in more ways than one!

1. Buddha Mama Jewelry: I was really impressed after seeing all the new collections at this year's Couture show and truly floored by the vibrant colors, rich gold and enamel work, with enamel being a huge focus for the girls this year. I loved every bit of it!  When buying a piece from Buddha Mama, you can't really go wrong--they also have big and bold if that is your style, lots of statement pieces, some spiritual pieces and if color is your thing--tons of options!

>> My pick? I would go for either one of their shaker cuffs (of course custom fit, as no cuff ever fits me ) or one of their 20k Marquise pendants outfitted with a color combo that gives you the best zen vibes you can find.

2. Nancy Newberg Jewelry: I love this line of jewelry because it is one that you can put on with anything--jeans and t-shirt, ball gown, pajamas--and just works. The jewelry is sophisticated yet cool, refined yet slightly edgy. The rings you see in the photo above, those can be worn alone, with no other jewelry whatsoever, and you'd still be best dressed in terms of jewelry wherever you are.

>> My choice? Either the ring pictured in yellow gold or one of her newest domed ball rings.

3. Venyx: This stunning line by Eugenie Niarchos totally transports you to another world. The uniqueness of it alone puts it in the top five. If you like colorful, most of her designs will be the perfect addition to your jewelry box; color is a big part of her line. The black-light responsive enamel rings are really cool too. Bottom line, if you want something that will truly get people talking and curious as to the story behind a piece, then Venyx is for you.

>> My pick? Anything with a rainbow of gems will do, but if I had to choose, a Moonshell rainbow ring.

4. NC Rocks: A favorite newcomer of many, NC Rocks truly "rocked" it at Couture. Adding a piece from their collection to your jewelry box would be a smart thing to do, as I only see them growing and continually expanding their collection. Start now and continue collecting! Their enamel pieces are incredible--love the Art Deco inspired designs.

>> My choice? Either the middle ring I'm wearing in the above photo or the Venice ring.

5. Alison Lou Jewelry: Investing in a young and hip jewelry designer like Alison Lou is smart and her jewelry is worth every penny. Every jewelry box needs a piece when you look at it, it makes you smile. That's exactly what kind of jewelry Alison designs...whether it's a ring that features your favorite emoji, a pair of earrings delicately enameled in your favorite color, or a necklace that is personalized, her jewels are just as sentimental as they are trendy.

>> My fave? Her Wildflowers by the Yard necklace...or if you're more of a ring girl, any of her enamel eternity bands are amazing.
